01 The client
Numerik Games Festival is a public event dedicated to art and digital culture, it has been held every year in Yverdon-les-Bains since it was first created in 2016.
Determined to blow minds, Numerik Games Festival aspires to enhance the digital through the different fields it covers: musical, cultural, artistic, heritage, economic and academic.
The festival’s third edition welcomed more than 8'500 festival goers or 30% more than the previous year, all on a surface of 8'000m2 in Yverdon-les-Bain’s technological park. The festival is comprised, among other things, of classical music juxtaposed by digital wall projections, travel towards stars in virtual reality, conferences of all kinds on subjects about society, original musical evenings as well as numerous children workshops.
02 Goal
Offer festival goes an app that keeps them informed with what’s happening during the event, as well as order tickets.
03 Methodology
This project is a bit particular, we were involved from the very beginning for several reasons: On one hand, we were given free rein by the client festival goers’ experience during the event; on the other hand we are all passionate about digital culture, that is why we wanted to work on this project.
When defining features, we brought a lot of ideas that could have been developed for the first version of this app. Finally, we focused on essentials to allow users to familiarize with the use of an app during the festival.
